CLOOS at BEIJING ESSEN WELDING & CUTTING 2018

HAIGER/DONGGUAN – From 8 to 11 May 2018 the BEIJING ESSEN WELDING & CUTTING, the leading exhibition for welding technology in Asia, took place in Dongguan. In hall 1A, booth 215 Carl Cloos Schweisstechnik GmbH presented a wide range of innovative solutions for different applications. The welding specialists offer technologies from the entry to the premium level and from manual welding machines to automated robot systems.

At the Beijing Essen Welding & Cutting, the exhibition visitors expected a multitude of new products and innovations for a quicker, more economic and more flexible welding production. The special strength of CLOOS is the widely spread competence. Because – from the welding technology, robot mechanics and controller to positioners, software and sensors – CLOOS supplies everything from a single source.

With the QIROX robots, positioners and special purpose machines CLOOS develops and manufactures automated welding systems meeting the specific requirements of the customers. The portfolio comprises simple, compact systems as well as complex, chained systems with automated workpiece identification and loading and unloading processes.

Entry solution for automated welding
The focus of the CLOOS exhibition booth was on the new QIROX QRC-290 welding robot. The six-axis articulated arm robot QIROX QRC-290 is mounted in upright position on a base or in overhead position at a robot positioner. The welding robot has a classic wrist where MIG/MAG robot welding torches with a weight of up to 4 kg can be mounted. The QINEO QinTron Robo expands the CLOOS product portfolio by a reasonably priced MIG/MAG welding power source for automated welding on the basis of the QINEO QinTron series. Their main features are high-quality components and a robust design. Together with the new QIROX Controller QC2 Micro, the new QIROX QRC-290 welding robot and the QINEO QinTron Robo welding power source offer an easy entry into automated welding.

Product and process diversity for various applications
Other highlights were the high-quality welding power sources for manual and automated welding. During live-demonstrations of manual welding trade visitors could experience the wide QINEO model range of the welding machines from entry to premium. CLOOS presented the high-tech MIG/MAG welding power sources QINEO Champ and QINEO Pulse as well as the new QinTron Pulse.

With Rapid Weld, Cold Weld and Root Penetration Control CLOOS also showed a wide range of welding processes for different materials and components. No matter if thick or thin, steel or aluminium, manual or automated – here you find the right welding process for every product requirement.
